The STANDARD PRODUCTION MATRIX with Prefixes and Serial Numbers The GLOCK Collectors Association has been documenting GLOCK pistol models since 1995. The STANDARD PRODUCTION MATRIX-what we call the MATRIX-is the most complete and official record of First Run Pistol Prefixes Shipped to the USA. The serial number list you quoted from hasn't been updated in over a year, I think the serial numbers are up to like SST by now. Voyager4520, Feb 16, 2012 voyager4520, Feb 16, 2012.
Glock Serial (Barrel) Number Lookup will work with any Glock pistol: Enter three letters of the serial (barrel) number on your Glock firearm: Glock Serial (Barrel) Number Lookup basesd on information from The Gun Digest Book Of The Glock. It enables you to check production date of a glock using the serial number from the barrel. Without calling Glock is there any way to tell when my pistol was made? It's a Gen 4 G17 and the serial number starts with UUCXXX.

1993, G19 Upgrade Glock Model 19, 9mm Luger caliber, requires an upgrade for all pistols. These pistols have the potential for an UNINTENTIONAL DISCHARGE of a cartridge with the action open. The Glock model 19 pistol slide has a bottom protrusion, whose function is to push cartridges from the top of the magazine into the chamber. When the pistol is jammed in a double feed situation, the slide protrusion can come in contact with the primer of the jammed cartridge and cause UNINTENTIONAL DISCHARGE while the action is open. 2000, G26/27 Recoil spring upgrade Glock Model 26, 9mm caliber, serial numbers DGU, DHR DKU. Glock Model 27,.40S&W caliber, serial numbers DGD, DGV, DHS, DHT, DKV, DKW, DKX.

According to, I may be reading the info incorrectly on the site, but if a Glock has an s/n EGN xxxusa, doesn't 'E' indicate month January, 'G' indicate month July and 'N' indicate month March? According to the chart, a March '02 would be marked 'NOKxxxusa'. Am I confused here? Carcano markings. If this is merely the month and year numbering conventions reserved for older pistols, can someone please point me to a current numbering convention where I can identify the year manufactured of the pistols I am researching? Thanks all in advance, rad.

Need some Glock expert input. Planning on trading tomorrow with a gent for a G36. I'm finding what I find to be less-than-definitive info out there that the gun may have been under recall at some point but I'm not clear on it. Is there a good online reference for serial numbers to get recall, born date, etc. Thought I'd call Glock tomorrow with the serial number (figure they'll tell me anything I need to know?), but they're closed now so thought the resident Glock brain trust would have the answers so I could find out sooner.
